JT Hilton is the leader of the The Miami Bass Soul Choir. He has been directing choirs for over two decades and also conducts vocals for the award winning music program at the famous Miami Northwestern High School. Mr. Hilton has created vocal arrangements for Michael Bolton, sung behind Oleta Adams, and started his musical life as an Ingraham Gospel Singer. He is also a professional vocal coach.

Joe L. Stone is an American music industry executive, actor, tv host, and BMI Award winning songwriter. Known for his innovative music styles as a producer and audio engineer, Mr. Stone enjoyed international success with his 90s hip hop parody act, 2 Live Jews. His productions include classics such as Gucci Crew II’s “Sally That Girl” and L’Trimm’s “Cars With The Boom” that still receive spins by the likes of Questlove from the Tonight Show and stream in the tens of millions on Tik Tok.

Amos Larkins Jr. is a Miami Bass pioneer whose productions have influenced the biggest names in pop music since the early 1980s, when a mistake in the control room led to a low-end over-mastery of bass that changed the world of music. His works have sold in the millions and been sampled by some of the biggest names in the game.

The Miami Bass Soul Choir are fifteen harmonizing vocalizers from Liberty City. They sing from the heart. They sing from the soul. They deliver a message of love and unity in perilous times. Their new album Hip Hop Gospel offers classic hymns with modern arrangements and powerful new beats.

The Miami Bass Soul Choir is led by JT Hilton, who has been directing choirs for over two decades, and also conducts vocals for the award winning music program at historic Miami Northwestern High School.

Hip Hop Gospel is produced by million-selling Miami Bass pioneer Amos Larkins II. and executive produced by BMI Award winner Joe L. Stone.

JT Hilton has created arrangements for Michael Bolton, sung behind Oleta Adams, and started his musical life out as an Ingraham Gospel Singer. He is a professional vocal coach and expert arranger who brings the Miami Bass Soul Choir to life with bold dynamics and rich tones. The group has “An all-culture sound,” says Hilton. “We connected, our ideas connected, and we put it all in one pot straight up and came up with something nice. You got old school hip hop, deep Miami Bass, soul vocals, and that soprano, tenor, alto, and that baritone.”

For Hilton, it’s a family tradition. His mother and father performed with classic gospel groups The White Robes, The Loving Aires, and the Gospel Diplomats.

“I have been vocal coaching and choir-directing all over the nation,” he says, “And you’d be surprised. The sound here is unique. You can hear that Miami in it.”

Hip Hop Gospel is warm as family lunch on Sunday. The instrumentals and harmonics deliver the best of hip hop with the words of gospel. You will find yourself singing and replaying these classic feel-good tunes any time you need a boost. The album is a family friendly journey through the American songbook, with a driving bass beat.
